Linthicum robbery/abduction attempt, Glen Burnie arrest kept Anne Arundel cops busy over weekend

The Anne Arundel County Police Department's Eastern District reported a traffic stop Sunday night, April 18, at 9:10 p.m. that led to the arrest of 37-year-old Justin Andre Henson of Glen Burnie, who, police said in a release, was possessing a weapon illegally.

AACPD pulled over a Chevy Malibu in the 200 block of Oak Manor Road on for not having a functioning tag light. During the traffic stop the driver voluntarily handed the officer a Crown Royal bag. Inside the bag officers located a loaded Taurus semi-automatic handgun.

The driver was prohibited from possessing a firearm and was arrested and charged. 

Linthicum, Attempted Abduction

The department's Northern District reported the Robbery and  an attempted bbduction in Linthicum, this past Saturday,  April  at approximately 11:30 p.m. officers responded for a robbery of a citizen in the parking lot of the Marriott Courtyard located at 1671 West Nursery Road in Linthicum.

The adult female victim was retrieving items from her vehicle when two unknown black male suspects exited a dark colored sedan that had pulled up next to hers. One of the suspects was armed with a handgun.

The suspects demanded the victim’s money, cards and car keys. One suspect grabbed the victim by her shirt and told her she was coming with them.

The victim was able to break free and run back into the hotel. The suspects fled with the victim’s cell phones. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
