Master Gardeners from the county have donated seeds to go along with books from the Severn Library to help residents learn to grow their outdoor skills.

The program "Spring into Reading with Seeds from the Master Gardeners" is a two-day program that is already fully booked, and going on this week.

"The seed give-away is relatively new," said Christine Feldmann, the Anne Arundel County Library systems' communications director.

"We try to tie our programs in with items that are in our collection so that we're able to provide a full experience for customers," she said.

She said she definitely expects their to be more programming available to residents in the months to come including gardening programming. The library's relationship with the Master Gardeners is ongoing.

The county's master gardener program is an ongoing partnership between the county government and the University of Maryland.

"We want people to learn more," Feldman said.
